Open your SonarWiz project.
Click the Data Acquisition > Sonar icon to open the Select Sonar Interface dialog
In the Sidescan section, look for the PulSARServer and select it.
Click the Start/Configure button
At this point the PulSAR interface should launch. Verify that the PulSAR interface is listed in the Current Servers: Sidescan section.
Verify that the SonarWiz indicator is green on the PulSAR Server interface. This indicates that the server has a connection to SonarWiz.

The PulSAR server interface should remain running throughout your survey. It is OK to minimize the window, but do not close it or the connection between SonarWiz and the interface deck box (IDU) will be lost. |

Right-click in the real-time waterfall display you want to adjust
Select Adjust SSS Gains… from the Context Menu
Adjust the gain settings as desired
Click OK to apply the settings

Remember, when you change the gain settings you are changing the intensity values of the data. This will affect how colors are mapped to your data. If your data gets too dark or too light after gain adjustments, open up the Color Window and re-adjust the palette mapping or use one of the automatic color modes. |

Click the Stop Recording icon to stop all logging.
Open the Sonar Interface window by click Data Acquisition > Sonar.
In the Current Servers section, click Disconnect from any servers that are currently listed.
In the PulSAR Interface server, click Quit button.
