Quick Start Guide to Copy Processing Results between Projects

This guide will show you how to copy the processing steps done from one dataset to another using the Copy Processing Results tool

For more information about the individual commands, please refer to the User Guide found in the Help Menu of SonarWiz.

By following this procedure, you will learn how to:

  • Operate the Copy Processing Results tool

  • Match the date/ time stamps from two datasets

  • Copy over processing steps done from one project to another

NOTE: This tool can be use to copy the processing done from your low frequency dataset to the high frequency or vice versa.

Instructions

  1. Open the Copy Processing Results between Projects tool in the Tools tab of SonarWiz under the CSF drop down menu.

  2. The Destination Project (which will be the data that the settings are being copied to) will always be the SonarWiz project currently opened. Use the Choose option to navigate to the project .MML file of the Source Project (which will be the data that the settings are copied from).

  3. Use the Match options to correlate the date and time stamps of the two projects. The goal is to have a Source Value = 1 for each of the files in the Destination Project. This means SonarWiz will be able to copy the desired settings over from the Source Project.

  4. Open the Settings dialog to check on all of the settings you want to copy from the Source Project to the Destination Project. Most options will copy over without issue including navigation adjustments, laybacks, and offsets but be cautious on options that are designed to work on a specific frequency of the data (like EGN).

  5. Select all of the desired files in the Source Project and then select Process.

You should see a message in the Output Message Log indicating the success or failure of the operation.
