How to gather SonarWiz log files and system information

In order to help CTI troubleshoot problems with SonarWiz and related utility programs, CTI support may ask you to gather your SonarWiz log files and other system information. Please follow the instructions below to make this as easy as possible.

Instructions

  1. Download the CollectLogs.Bat script. This script automates the data collection process.

  2. Double-click on the script to execute the batch file.

  3. Answer YES to the first dialog box to start the data collection process

4.  Allow the script to run to completion. This will take several minutes. When the script has completed, you will see the following dialog:

Note that the script creates a folder in the current user's Documents folder called SonarWiz_debug. Inside of this folder you will find all of the information collected about your system and SonarWiz.

5. Zip up the SonarWiz_debug folder and attach the Sonarwiz_debug.zip file to your support ticket.
